Often in these cases it doesn't make economical sense to claim through your insurance or perhaps you don't have comprehensive insurance coverage as an option - this is where I fit in! Whilst it is always better to provide a cost estimate after seeing the damage/work required ‘in the flesh’ so to speak, I do also understand that sometimes our schedules just don’t allow extra time to run around getting quotes and, for this reason, I do offer the option of providing a quote based on images if this is a preferable option for your circumstances. Please note that I can only give an accurate quote via this method if you provide me with images that adhere to my guidelines as outlined below…
- Images need to be of good quality, showing clearly the damaged area of the car from a distance that gives me a clear understanding of the area of the vehicle that damaged.
- Images should be taken under good light, daylight without direct sun is best or undercover under good lighting also works well.
- Please take a couple of clear corner-to-corner shots of your car so I know what your vehicle is exactly - this also allows me to get an overall guide on the condition of your car including paint deterioration or previous repairs that may need to be factored in.
- If the area of damage you would like quoted is on any metal components ie. doors, guards or bonnet etc then be mindful that they may be dented and not just scratched - you can usually pick this up in images by using light reflections and trying from various angles.
- If I am unable to provide a quote due to poor image quality I will advise you and ask that you submit clearer images!
Quotes will usually be returned within 24hrs. Quotes are provided at no cost and are obligation free, quotes are not provided for insurance companies and if you decide to have repairs done through your insurance policy then you will need to get a quote from your insurers preferred repairer network.
